After Treatment
What to expect after treatment
After the Massage
It is not uncommon to experience muscle soreness a day or two after your massage therapy treatment. The soreness is a result of direct contact with spasms in the muscle, as well as accumulated waste products in the tissue being naturally released into your system. This is similar to what many people experience after strenuous activity. This too shall pass…
Recommended after treatment care
Keeping yourself well hydrated after treatment will help reduce soreness after treatment. Following up your treatment with a soak in a hot tub, a warm epsom salts or mineral salts bath, warm shower, physical activity or a warm heating pad applied to the affected area, should assist in alleviating any soreness. If you feel sore beyond a few days or have any unusual or unexpected reaction after care please do not hesitate in letting me know or seeking medical care or emergency care as appropriate.
Your massage experience should be both pleasant and beneficial. Hopefully it will be the beginning of a life-long practice to help you enjoy the best possible health and wellness.
